Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, a frequent promoter of more legislation & government intrusion, implied that Rush Limbaugh’s commentary isn’t based on reality & fact. Tony Lee writes:
…O’Reilly told the audience, “I’m not Rush Limbaugh or Al Franken, where everything has to fit into my worldview… I’m a fact-based guy. A lot of people don’t understand that.”
Now I know; that so many conservatives, famous & private do tend to be on the fence or, actually, pro-amnesty when it comes to illegal immigrants. Wishing to reward people who do not belong in the United States, hoping there will be a way that they can become citizens, despite the long waiting list of people legally applying & working for citizenship in America. But; why is it that these people don’t understand that the rest of us – who prefer rule of law & order, who value the Constitution of the US – insist that the country, like every other nation on the planet, have the right to control its borders.
Is the sheer numbers of illegal aliens residing within America just too large for some conservatives to encompass in their nearly-liberal views on right & wrong?
O’Reilly made his remarks about being a “fact-based guy” days after he tried to convince his viewers that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) did not lose his primary race last week to Dave Brat because of the amnesty issue. O’Reilly conveniently ignored the fact that Dave Brat said amnesty was the “central” issue in the race.
