Film Review: As Above, So Below (Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman) Explorer of Paris catacombs bites off more than she can chew

As Above, So Below, with Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman, Edwin Hodge & François Civil.  Director, John Erick Dowdle.  Not much good to say about this ridiculous Blair Witch ripoff.  Even though it had a lot of promise & fairly exciting trailers, this stupidity ranks as one of the worst films I’ve ever seen.

With a bit of preamble, the main character makes her way to Paris to find a clue to a mysterious symbol of Alchemy.  That’s it.  The resulting little, deadly, underground adventure has a couple of spooks & shocks; but the precious, jerky filming of it all distracts so much that even the goal becomes an afterthought & the only thing left is the predictable deaths.  One by one.

If I were you, I’d avoid this film at all costs.  It’s a waste of time.  The gorgeous actors are the only thing worthy of note.  Literally.
