Whenever there’s an ‘atrocity’ people overseas think life in America is sad

Ignoring their own violence & the fact that violent crime in the US has been steadily going down for decades, we note that there’s always a snide rash of folks in other countries willing to pounce on a situation, as if they don’t have problems of their own & inflating American ownership of armaments to something akin to insanity.  What these people don’t quite understand is that there are three hundred thousand plus people in the US & every little or big thing is reported immediately in a 24 hour news cycle.  Given the hysterical headlines we see, one would think the end of the world is happening.  It’s not.
