NATO SecyGen reassures President Trump on member nation contributions but inequities remain

Five NATO allies currently meet the requirement of two percent of their gross domestic product.  The US, the UK, Estonia, Greece & Poland.  SecyGen Stoltenberg says, “We still do not have fair burden sharing within our alliance”, in his annual report.  Reportedly, the currently dysfunctional alliance doesn’t even guarantee adequate supply lines & deployment of forces against Russian aggression & if Germany were to meet the requirement of spending it would be allocating more to their military than Russia with no assurance that what military defense forces they do have would be able to take in the resources!  They’ve not felt the need to keep strong defense forces since the end of WWII.  They all live in a Social Democracy bubble, where the US would be expected to shoulder the burden & risk of countering Russia.  With existing resources propping up their nanny-states.  Meanwhile, they complain that President Trump has called out their lack of foresight & financial cooperation.  At the same time, Russia seeks to absorb its former Soviet satellite states back into its fold.  Along with the building up of its military on the borders of Western Europe & Scandinavia.
